ESMA publishes updated statistical data on credit rating agencies

Default: Change to:

ESMA made available the updated set of semi-annual statistical data on the performance of credit ratings, including transition matrices and default rates. This new set of statistics covers ratings data up to 31 December 2011, and is available through the Central Rating Repository (CEREP).

CEREP provides information on credit ratings issued by 16 Credit Rating Agencies (CRAs) which are either registered or certified in the European Union.  This database was first published on 2 February 2012, and is updated every six months with new data. The CEREP database allows investors to assess the performance and reliability of credit ratings on different types of ratings, asset classes and geographical regions for a given time period.

CEREP will be updated on a semi-annual basis with statistics up to the preceding reporting period, which covers six months lasting from 1 January to 30 June or, from 1 July to 31 December.
