Nicolas Véron
Nicolas Véron:
A Research Fellow at Bruegel, the Brussels-based think-tank - is an acknowledged expert on capital markets, financial services and corporate strategies. Before becoming involved in Bruegel’s creation and development in late 2002, his experience was in both public policy, as a French government official, and corporate finance, including as chief financial officer of a small-cap listed company and as an independent consultant.
His numerous publications include policy papers and essays on various issues of European business and financial regulation and a book on accounting standards and practices in a changing financial system (Smoke & Mirrors, Inc.: Accounting for Capitalism, Cornell University Press, 2006).
Nicolas Véron is a regular columnist for the leading French daily newspaper La Tribune. A native French speaker, he is fluent in English and Spanish.
