FEE initiative to safeguard credibility of financial information

The European Federation of Accountants (FEE) published a paper advising a principlesbased approach to set ethical standards for capital market participants.

FEE calls on standard setters to adopt a conceptual, (principles-based), approach when establishing ethical requirements for participants in the financial reporting chain, such as codes for company directors and investment analysts.
