Commission Communication on EU Financial Reporting Strategy

In this communication the commission sets out its future approach to financial reporting in Europe. This strategy, which is a key feature of creating an integrated financial services market, should help to remove the remaining obstacles to cross-border trade in securities, particularly by recommending the application of accounting standards that would encourage transparency and comparability of companies' financial statements throughout the European Union.
