EBA published two consultations outlining guidelines for data collection on bank remuneration practices

25 July 2011

The first consultation outlines definitions and information to be submitted, and offers a template to submit information to appropriate regulators on the remuneration benchmarking exercise. The second focuses on a remuneration data collection exercise regarding high earners.

The European Banking Authority (EBA) issued two consultations that offer guidelines for data collection on bank remuneration practices. Their publication is a further step towards greater disclosure of remuneration information, first proposed in the second amendment to the CRD (CRD III), which came into effect on January 1, 2011.

The deadline for comment is September 2.
