CEA summarises key regulatory and market access issues for EC dialogues

The briefing paper contains a high level summary of the key issues faced by the European insurance industry when trading with the US, China, Japan, Russia and Brazil.

At the EC stakeholders meeting to discuss the EU Financial Markets Regulatory Dialogues with the US, China, Japan, Russia, Brazil and India, the CEA raised industry concerns over the US Foreign Accounts Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and changes to Brazil’s reinsurance regulations. 

After the meeting, the CEA also sent the Commission a position paper highlighting the industry’s key regulatory/market access issues in the six countries.
