The Commission services published a call for applications with the view to appoint some new members for the European Securities Markets Expert Group.
The task of the group of experts is to provide legal and economic advice on the application of the EU securities Directives2. This group brings together high-level experts in the investment services and securities industry.
The 2-year mandates of the members of the group selected in 2006 are coming to an end. The Commission would like both to re-new some members' mandates as well as appoint some new members.
The Commission is therefore issuing a call for applications with a view to listing candidates to be appointed to the group for the remaining time of the operation of the group i.e. until the end of 2009.
Deadline for application is 30 April 2008.
