El Pais: Record drop of immigration to the UK

El Pais reports how net immigration to the United Kingdom has suffered the largest annual decline since records began, with the number of foreign arrivals to UK dropping from 336,000 to 230,000 since the vote to leave in June 2016.

According to official statistics published this week, the decline of more than 30% is due to the decrease of arrivals and the increase of the departures of European citizens, although there are still more foreigners arriving in the UK than ones who leave. And while the number of people who come to the UK after they have already found a job remains stable, the number of people who come to search for work in the UK has dropped by 43%.
