-The vote in the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (EMAC) on the Market Abuse Directive will take place on 08 October.
The three main amendments deal with:
the “appropriate financing of the competent authority”
the extending the Directive to “persons charged with the execution of orders concerning financial instruments”, and
the treatment of journalists.
The Commission already stated that it is rather content with the amendments.
