EVCA launches interactive map of private equity at work in Europe

Default: Change to:

EVCA has released an interactive map of European case studies to illustrate how private equity works in practice. The map is part of EVCA's ongoing effort to improve the accessibility of information about private equity.

The map is a resource of concrete examples of companies all over Europe that have worked with private equity in order to grow and develop. It features 63 case studies of private equity investments from 20 European countries and shows the diversity of Europe’s 21,000 private equity-backed businesses, from the smallest start-ups to the largest multinational companies. Private equity’s impact is seen across sectors, from business and industrial products to consumer goods and retail or communications. Each case study explains how private equity helped management create a lasting transformation of the business.

EVCA Secretary-General Dörte Höppner said: “The map is part of the EVCA’s ongoing effort to improve the accessibility of information about private equity, and explain the industry’s role in the economy with the support of research, data and case studies.”

The recent videos “How private equity works” and “Case for Europe”, the new EVCA website and report on the mid-market “Delivering the goods” are also part of the EVCA’s drive for more transparency.
