Main Conclusions of the CEIOPS Members’ Meeting

CEIOPS held its Members’ Meeting in Frankfurt on 25 and 26 April 2006. The meeting addressed a number of important issues in CEIOPS’ continuing work and reviewed CEIOPS’ documents relating to them. CEIOPS approved its final “Answers to the European Commission’s third wave of Calls for Advice in the Framework of the Solvency II project”.

CEIOPS also approved its final “Recommendation on Independence and Accountability”. It further approved its advice on the “Prudential treatment of ‘deeply subordinated debt’”.

CEIOPS then approved its final specification for the second round of its “Quantitative Impact Study” in the context of the Solvency II project.
