EFRAG: European outreach on the IASB's main projects

EFRAG published an executive summary of the feedback expressed by European constituents during the outreach meetings on the Revenue Recognition and Leases projects organised jointly with the European National Standard Setters in May 2011.

In May 2011, EFRAG and the European National Standard Setters jointly organised meetings in eight European cities in order to inform European constituents of, and obtain their feedback on, the direction taken by the IASB in its re-deliberations on the Revenue Recognition and Leases projects. The events focused only on those issues that had caused major concerns at the exposure draft stage and had been subsequently re-deliberated. The events provided European constituents with an opportunity to influence the final outcome of the projects and to eliminate whatever major concern would remain after the re-deliberations are coming to completion.

The events were held in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and the United Kingdom, and were attended by a large number of constituents.

EFRAG's document provides an executive summary of the feedback received during the meetings with European constituents. Additionally, EFRAG staff prepared detailed feedback statements on each event for the convenience of the European constituents. These detailed feedback statements are available on EFRAG’s website and on the websites of the respective national standard setters. EFRAG will meet with the IASB in June 2011 to discuss the feedback received during the outreach in Europe.
