European Commission Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis has invited Jean-Paul Gauzès, on an ad personam basis, to provide recommendations about the possible changes to the governance and financing of EFRAG, in case the latter were entrusted with the responsibility for the development of possible EU non-financial reporting standards.
This invitation is accompanied by an Annex,
which provides the context within which the question of possible
European reporting standards under the non-financial reporting directive
(NFRD) is being considered.
To help develop the proposals for
possible changes to the governance and funding of EFRAG, Jean-Paul
Gauzès is seeking the contribution of all interested stakeholders that
wish to provide their views on his mandate. These proposals will be
subject to further public consultation.
Jean-Paul Gauzès' letter
and its accompanying questionnaire, calling for the contribution of
views by all interested stakeholders, can be found here.
Stakeholders'
views can either be submitted in the form of responses to
the questionnaire or alternatively, they can be emailed to nominations@efrag.org (with a copy to Jean-paul.gauzes@efrag.org).
