IOSCO reports on progress in adoption of Code of Conduct

IOSCO released a consultation paper on the on its Credit Ratings Agency Code, announcing at the same time significant progress in the adoption of its Code of Conduct for CRA. In the “Consultation Paper”, it is revealed that any variations from the IOSCO Code are usually noted and adequately explained by the CRA. Nevertheless, IOSCO has noted that in specific areas, there is still room for improvement. IOSCO believes that additional efforts need to be made to promote the Code among small and mid-sized CRAs.

Deadline for comments on the consultation paper is 11 May 2007.
