CESR consults on possible implementing measures of the future UCITS directive


The call requests technical advice on the level 2 measures related to the management company passport, key investor information, and to fund mergers, master-feeder structures and the notification procedure.

Commission requested CESR’s assistance on the content of the implementing measures to be taken pursuant to the revised UCITS Directive. The UCITS Directive imposes the 1 July 2010 as a strict deadline for adoption of certain level 2 measures.

 

The call includes requests for technical advice on the level 2 measures related to the management company passport, key investor information, and to fund mergers, master-feeder structures and the notification procedure. CESR is asked to deliver its advice by 30 October 2009.

 

The European Parliament adopted the revised UCITS Directive on 13 January 2009. The Council’s final approval is expected in April/May 2009.

 

Deadline for consultation is 31 March 2009.
