The Commission launched a public consultation on the draft QIS4 technical specifications produced by CEIOPS. The purpose of the consultation on QIS4 is to provide stakeholders with the opportunity to comment on the technical specifications that will form the basis for the QIS4 exercise.
The Commission will also hold a Public Hearing on Solvency II and QIS4 in Brussels on the 28 January 2008 and a meeting with Member States on 1 February 2008.
On 31 March 2008, the Commission will publish a Call for Advice, asking CEIOPS to run QIS4 between April and July 2008 on the basis of the up-dated QIS4 technical specifications. The Call for Advice will also request CEIOPS to publish a final report on the results of QIS4 at the end of November 2008.
Deadline for consultation is 15 February 2008.
