Graham Bishop: Provides independent analysis on European financial affairs. He founded GrahamBishop.com in 2000 to disseminate insights into economic and structural developments in the financial markets of Europe, this include both the technicalities and political impact which he has always been heavily involved in, the political implications of finance – to both the UK and also to the EU. He was a member of the European Commission’s: Maas Committee in 1994/5 (preparing the changeover to the single currency); 1998/9 Financial Services Strategy Group (creating the Financial Services Action Plan) and Giovaninni Group. The European Parliament nominated him as one of its two members of the first Inter-Institutional Monitoring Group and he is a Board member of the Kangaroo Group. Stefan Brill is an expert in European financial market legislation and economic policy in Brussels. He was awarded an ETP scholarship by the European Commission in 2009 to learn Japanese and study in Tokyo so he now heads our sales effort in Japan and East Asia. Stefan has been with GrahamBishop.com for over eight years heading the Brussels liaison office and maintaining contacts with clients and relevant political groups. Before that he worked as an Assistant on Financial Services to the chair of European Parliaments’ ECON committee and as an analyst on Economic Policy to the European Policy Centre. In 2001 Stefan was awarded from Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University in Frankfurt a PhD ‘magnum cum laude’ on Capital Market Integration and Currency Regimes during and after the Mexican Peso Crises. He is a native German speaker and speaks fluent English, Spanish and French. |

Silvia Merino-Rueda: is a European Economics graduate with considerable experience in the European Financial Services sector. Based in our Brussels office, Silvia focuses on analysing European financial and regulatory news and legislation for Grahambishop.com’s clients and summarising the most relevant issues. Silvia has worked on various projects for Avisa, the European Insurance Association and the Financing Standardization Unit of DG ENTR of the European Commission. A native Spanish speaker, Silvia also speaks English, French and German. |

Richard Betts: Has over 20 years experience in financial markets publishing and independent economic and political consultancy. Richard has been Managing Director of Eurozone Advisors – the leading independent macro policy advisors on Euro Area politics, economics, and interest rates - since 2001. Prior to this, during ten years with Euromoney Institutional Investor, he was responsible for all aspects of group renewal marketing and sales, and from 1998, the development and implementation of group strategy for Key Account clients with a particular focus on creating bespoke information /research solutions to meet the needs of major clients. |

Jacques Lafitte: A European Competition expert with over twenty years’ experience in European economic and parliamentary affairs and
an extensive network of contacts across Europe. Based in Brussels, Jacques co-founded Avisa Partners, a public affairs consultancy specialising in the fields of EU competition, environment, energy, transport, single market and financial services. The author of several books on EU affairs, Jacques is also a commentator on EU affairs on Swiss radio and a regular contributor to Euro Zone Advisers and other political and business intelligence agencies. Prior to working as a senior adviser with GrahamBishop.com, Jacques worked at the French Treasury. Between 1995 and 1999 he was a member of the Cabinet of European Commissioner de Silguy specialising in the introduction of the euro. He then joined Microsoft acting as their European Director of Corporate Affairs, responsible for Microsoft’s relations with governments and decision-makers across the EU. A native French speaker, Jacques is fluent in English and German and also speaks Spanish and Danish.
